Our Mission & Vision

Our vision and mission is to help connect people to faith

Martinwood Christian Church is a faith based, non-denominational, non-judgmental church where people can be themselves.  Martinwood Christian Church was born out of love for people and helping local communities unite as one under God.  Martinwood Christian Church is a church that falls under the purview of Martinwood International, a 501C3 nonprofit  agency devoted to the health and well-being of caregivers and the people they give care to.

Martinwood Christian Church is blessed to have the talents of Pastor Mike and his wife, Ruth Bitter at the helm of this up and coming church.  Pastor Mike and Ruth believe in looking beyond external features and do what Jesus did; see people’s hearts.

Pastor Mike and Ruth specialize in bringing neighborhoods and communities together for events and celebrations to spread the Word of God, extend their non-judgemental attitudes and share in the hope of eternal life.  They’ve always had a heart for people who may feel out of place in most “normal” settings or places where judgement resides.  Their approach has become an international sensation working with people from Haiti to China.

Their ministry covers a multitude of areas including chaplaincy, education, life changes such as marriages, death and end of life issues, community involvement, personal fulfillment, edification of personal beliefs and giving people a purpose in life.  Their goal is to build relationships with people and expand the Kingdom of God on earth.

They believe there is one Church, God’s church, and every church feeds into God’s overall plan of expanding His Church.  Our events are for all to take part in regardless of denominational preference or current church standing.  We believe we are doing God’s work inasmuch as everyone is welcomed into our church and invited to participate with us.

They are partial to, and have classes for caregivers and the “forgotten;” those people who weren’t invited to the birthday parties, but heard the other kids talk about it Monday morning or the people who were the last to be picked for a team.

Above all, they follow God’s calling.  As you know, God’s calling doesn’t always make sense, but only God knows why He’s called us because in Isaiah 55:8 it states:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

At Martinwood Christian Church, we base all of our beliefs on the authority of God’s Holy Word, the Bible. We strive to maintain Biblical standards of living and leadership in everything we do. We believe that living life according to God’s Word is the way to a fulfilling life.

We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God and without error. The Bible is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine.

(2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son  and Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth.. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth as the Savior for mankind. We believe that the Holy Spirit is with us today guiding us in our walk.

(Matthew 28:19).

We believe that Jesus shed His blood on the cross for our sins. We believe that salvation is only found by placing our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

(Romans 5:1; 5:8-9.)

We believe that water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

(1 Peter 3:21.)

We believe in receiving Communion regularly as an act of remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made for us through dying on the cross.

(1 Corinthians 11:24-25.)

We believe that every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.

(Philippians 3:12-13).
